And other news from Rushkoff

Lots of stuff going on to share.

We just posted the latest Team Human show, an interview with my great friend, author and art critic Joanne McNeil about her new book Wrong Way and the way humans are always somewhere inside the machine. We don’t replace labor with our technologies….we just move it somewhere else, usually even more hidden and more demeaning than before. Her book — not to spoil the punch line — is about a woman who gets a job as the hidden driver inside a a supposedly autonomous vehicle. And it only gets weirder, or more familiar, from there…

We’re also doing a live Team Human “call in” show at 1p Eastern time, today, Wednesday, April 24 at the url http://teamhuman.fm/live with a special guest co-host!

This week, my heart also goes out to my dear friend RU Sirius, whose glorious, zany, brilliant, loving, psychically adventurous, and daringly playful partner Eve Berni passed away. For those of you who knew her, I know how this news must feel. For those who don’t, please take a moment to smile that such wonderfully odd and sensitive creatures have walked this earth in our lifetimes, and that our society is still loose enough for them to survive here.
