It’s definitely a congratulations. It’s just that — to us on the reader side of things, anyway — we don’t know what the change really means, except on some spreadsheet somewhere. So I’m guessing, more than anything, it has to do with how the writing of the stories is funded. And maybe the new model — being connected with a big content company instead of a platform company — will mean more resources.
But yeah, the challenge is getting to write real stories in a media space where the existing content makers are losing their status as anchors. And you are certainly creating a new model for how to preserve quality writing.
