The usage of fragmented identity politics to paint an inclusive, progressive picture of neoliberal candidates is a symptom of the restructuring of the internet from a tool to an industry. Identity politics is also a distraction from issues that might require a well-informed view of intersectionality outside of a neoliberal framework but do not require surveillance and hollow pandering ads.
