Yeah, I'm still working out the difference, myself. I was thinking to use a picture of Katy Perry in front of the fireworks last night for this piece. And I would have, but I didn't want people to think I was criticizing Biden's inauguration as some Nuremberg rally for its use of spectacle.

But I love how a picture like that would make us question and interrogate whether leveraging awe is always an evil manipulation. It's clearly not. But I wonder if one's 'intention' is enough to make it okay...
