Yeah. Wouldn’t that be unique? I wasn’t thinking about saving the Dems so much as saving democracy. But I’m getting the sense that our pains and imbalances may be too great for something like this. Embracing a Romney or Javitz as at least a partner in legislation may be too much for people at this point, after all they’ve been through.

It feels like letting nazis into the Democratic Party rather than basically dissolving the Democratic Party as it currently exists in order to restore a different two party system through caucuses instead of parties.

The better solution would be for conservatives to create a third party. But they would have a tough time with that.
