Yes. Because - as with many kinds of projects - what happens when it is done very often doesn't live up to how we imagined it. I have written books hoping they would get reviewed, or that people might purchase them. And sometimes they don't get reviewed, and don't get read by many people.

Very often there's a lot of excitement and hoopla around selling a book to a major publisher. It's a big achievement. Sometimes, it's the most exhilarating part of the process.
